Meet Our Family Law, Divorce, & Child Custody Lawyer, Megan Hunt Dell.
Megan is a local family law, divorce, and child custody lawyer. She was born and raised in Moncks Corner, a small town about 30 miles north of Charleston. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the Charleston School of Law.
When Megan is not practicing law, she is attempting new recipes, trying to become a runner, singing loudly and offkey, and reading. Megan and her husband live in Ravenel with their children and cat (who has enough personality for two humans).
Megan is regularly invited to speak at continuing legal education seminars on family law topics. She is a member in the Charleston County Bar Association and the South Carolina Bar Association.
Between 2012 and 2016, Megan served on the Charleston School of Law Alumni Association’s Board of Directors. For the South Carolina Bar Association, Megan has served in the House of Delegates, as well as on the Publications Committee, Resolution of Fee Disputes Board, and the Family Law Section.
In college, Megan completed coursework in journalism, public relations, advertising and marketing, family and relationship communications and functioning, social systems and norms across cultures, the history and development of child welfare policy, child development, and education. Megan views every case as an opportunity to apply concepts from her studies.
Before becoming a lawyer, Megan held jobs nannying, managing vacation rentals, planning events, and serving box seat ticket holders at the Riverdogs. While in law school, Megan served as a volunteer guardian ad litem, advocating for the best interests of children in abuse and neglect cases. She also clerked for the Charleston County Family Court and a local family law firm, and volunteered for the Federal Public Defender.
Megan’s diverse background gives her the skills to be your divorce or child custody lawyer and give your case the care and attention you deserve.
